Adopting a Framework for Community-Driven Decisions

Adopting a Framework for Community-Driven Decisions

Summary

This proposal aims to establish a framework where the Antcore community will have direct influence over nearly every strategic and developmental decision within the ecosystem, excluding only our established Antcore name and logo. By formalizing this principle, we empower token-holders and community members to propose and vote on all key areas of the project—such as governance rules, tokenomics changes, expansion strategies, and more.

Rationale

1. Decentralized Ethos

  • We want to demonstrate a commitment to true decentralization by putting major decisions in the hands of our community.

2. Brand Continuity

  • The name “Antcore” and our core logo are integral to our brand identity. These remain outside the scope of governance votes, ensuring consistent market recognition.

3. Governance Trial

  • This proposal also serves as a test for our new governance platform, giving us a lower-stakes environment to refine the voting system before addressing larger topics like chain expansion or treasury allocations.

Proposal Details

1. Scope of Community Governance

  • We want to demonstrate a commitment to true decentralization by putting major decisions in the hands of our community.
  • Included: All strategic or developmental elements of the Antcore ecosystem, such as:
    • Updates to governance rules or voting mechanisms
    • Tokenomics adjustments (e.g., inflation/deflation parameters)
    • Product roadmap items (e.g., new features, partnerships, or expansions)
    • Marketing campaigns and community initiatives
  • Excluded:
    • The name “Antcore”
    • The existing Antcore logo (visual mark)

2. Brand Continuity

  • The name “Antcore” and our core logo are integral to our brand identity. These remain outside the scope of governance votes, ensuring consistent market recognition.

3. Implementation

  • If approved, any future proposals suggesting changes to name or logo will be considered non-compliant and automatically invalid.
  • All other significant changes must be brought to governance for a vote, following the standard proposal-submission process.

4. Process Clarification

  • Proposal Submission: Anyone with sufficient $ANTC voting power or delegated rights can submit a proposal.
  • Voting Window: Standard voting duration applies (e.g., 3–7 days).
  • Quorum & Majority Requirements:

Quorum: Every proposal must achieve a minimum level of community participation. This ensures that decisions reflect the views of a broad segment of token holders. The required participation rate is defined within our current governance settings and is strictly enforced.

Majority: In addition to meeting the quorum, a proposal must secure a simple majority—over 50% of the votes cast—to pass. For specific types of proposals, a higher threshold (supermajority) may be mandated as outlined in our governance framework. Any special voting requirements will be clearly specified in the proposal documentation.

Consistency & Adaptability: These requirements align with the standards applied to all other proposals within the ecosystem. Future modifications to quorum or majority thresholds must themselves be proposed and approved through the same governance process, ensuring transparency and community consensus over time.

By maintaining these updated parameters, we ensure robust decision-making that balances active participation with effective governance.

5. Governance Trial

  • This proposal also serves as a test for our new governance platform, giving us a lower-stakes environment to refine the voting system before addressing larger topics like chain expansion or treasury allocations.

6. Expected Outcomes

  • Transparency: The community can see, in real time, which proposals are under discussion and how funds or resources might be allocated for future changes.
  • Stronger Community Bonds: By participating actively in decision-making, stakeholders became more involved, resulting in heightened ownership and accountability.

Conclusion

If passed, this proposal cements Antcore’s commitment to decentralized governance and sets a powerful precedent for how community input shapes our ecosystem. It opens every aspect of Antcore to shared ownership and direction, reinforcing our dedication to transparency and collective decision-making.
